After many years of sold-out performances, the celebrated collaboration between Richard Cock and his orchestra returns to the stage with the electrifying Charl du Plessis Trio in a brand-new crossover programme at the Linder Auditorium on 30 August at 15:00.
Titled “Take a Sad Song and Make It Better”, this vibrant spring concert promises a thrilling journey through beloved classics and iconic popular music, all freshly reimagined in brilliant crossover arrangements by pianist Charl du Plessis. Joining him are the exceptional Werner Spies (double bass) and Peter Auret (drums), performing with the Phoenix Co. Orchestra under the baton of Richard Cock.
The programme highlights the Trio’s unique ability to blur the boundaries between classical elegance and jazz-infused virtuosity.
