About the event
Charl du Plessis debuts his first solo piano performance at the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, featuring music by Bach, Rachmaninoff and Beethoven, as well as favourites by Leonard Cohen, Duke Ellington and Richard Rodgers. In addition to these beloved pieces, the program will also include improvisations, where audience members can suggest any piece of music, and Charl will spontaneously improvise on it. Charl du Plessis is a Steinway Artist, a piano lecturer at the University of Pretoria and a four-time SAMA (South African Music Awards) winner.
